Park Activities

Playground & Jumping Pillow

Our main adventure playground is growing constantly and great fun, complete with monkey bars, swings, slides, balance beam, climbing net, bouncers, sea saw and more. You'll need to keep coming back to see what gets added next. 

Next to this we have our fantastic Jumping Pillow. Young or older, it's hours of fun (and will certainly wear those energetic kids out). 

There is a second adventure playground area by the outdoor BBQ behind our Games Room.

Trikes and Bikes

TRIKES:
Awesome fun around the park for the kids. Choose from a sturdy single or double trike on which mum or dad can do the hard work peddling and the little ones can relax and enjoy the ride (or the other way round, depending on who has the most energy).
Your choice of one or two seater trikes are just $5 each to hire for 30 minutes!

BIKES:
For those that want to get out of the park and explore the area, we have trail bikes in a variety of sizes plus one standard kids bike as well, perfect to get the whole family out on a bike ride.  Whanganui has plenty of cycle lanes for you to get around town. Our park is located along the Mountains to Sea Cycle Trail so you are able to ride out to where the river meets the sea or up river to the Upokongaro Cycle bridge.
Hire is $30 per bike for 1/2 day (up to 4hrs) and $50 per bike for a full day (up to 8hrs).

Games Room

For young and old alike our indoor games room has something for everyone.
We have one of the most extensive games rooms you will find in a holiday park. There is a pool table, table football,  air hockey and plenty of video games machines, to try your hand at. 
Conveniently located close to everything and open all day you can spend hours trying new games, compete against each other at basketball, or have a family Table Football tournament. 
Table Football and the X-Box are free to play and our Reception team will be happy to swap notes for coins if you need more change. 

Ball Games

Next to the main park you will find a large open field which can be used for any number of ball games, or just a good old run around. 

Petanque

Fancy trying something new? Give petanque a go. With boule available to hire from reception (and rules if you need them), pit the family against each other in a friendly game in the sun. You can hire boule from reception for a $10 deposit and play to your hearts content.
If you don't know the rules, just ask us, they're simple and easy to play for all ages. 

Kayaks

As you are so close to the Whanganui River it would be a shame not to experience her in all her glory, so get out there on a kayak.
With options ranging from 1 hour to half a day or a 5km trip down river, we've a package to suit all abilities.
Your choice of single or double kayak. 
We have life jackets to fit everyone from roughly age 5 upwards. Children aged 12 or under will need to be in a double kayak with an adult. An adult over 18 does need to be on the water with any children under 18.
