The outdoor swimming pools at Whanganui River TOP 10 are heated to a fantastic 30 degrees from spring to autumn (usually end of September to mid-April, depending on school holidays).

Our main pool is 10 metres long and 6 metres wide, joined by our toddler pool, there is plenty of room for the whole family to have fun. There is also a small waterslide to entertain the kids for hours. 

The swimming pools are open during Reception Hours, so get those togs on and get in! They're located centrally in the park so you are never too far away.

We take our guests' safety very seriously here and as we have no lifeguard we ask that an adult over 18 is always present inside the fenced pool area to supervise any children under 14 in their care. Children under 5 should be actively supervised within arms reach of an adult. To ensure everyone is safe, unsupervised children will be asked to leave the pool. The lead guest is responsible for ensuring the supervision of all children in their group within this area. 

There is a relaxing deck at the poolside with plenty of seating so you can catch some rays while the children splash around. There are also plenty of sun shades for a cooler place to relax.

For everyone's comfort (and so enough water stays in the pool) No bombing or manu please.  

Spa Pool

The private indoor spa pool is gas heated, chemically controlled and available to guests at just $15 for 30 minutes. Complimentary session available for guests staying in our Deluxe Units and Motels.

After a busy day out on the river or climbing the 176 steps of the Memorial Tower, you're going to need a break! So gather four friends or your special someone, jump in the spa and push the button to release the bubbles.

The spa pool is located in a private cedar building in the main grounds of the park with views down to the river from the large French doors. Sit back and relax in the hot water and bubbles and watch the world go by.
